Hikari Wheat Germ Formula Medium Pellet

Hikari Wheat Germ Formula Medium Pellet is a highly digestible daily diet for koi and pond fish in cooler water. Use this Hikari koi food when the water cools and your fish have a slower metabolism.

The formula uses the innermost part of the wheat germ kernel, enriched with vitamins and minerals for nutrient absorption and immune support. It pairs with the warm-water foods in our Hikari fish food range: feed Hikari Staple or Hikari Gold in warm water, then change to Wheat Germ as temperatures drop. It also comes as Hikari Wheat Germ Formula Small Pellet and Large Pellet.

Feeding guide

Check water temperature regularly and adjust to the water condition, number and size of fish and their activity. Avoid overfeeding and remove uneaten food.

• 18 to 30°C (64 to 86°F): feed 2 to 4 times a day, the amount eaten within 5 minutes
• 5 to 18°C (41 to 64°F): feed no more than twice a day, the amount eaten within 5 minutes, in the warmer part of the day
• Below 5°C (41°F): do not feed
